Canskate

CanSkate is our learn to skate program designed to teach basic skills for ALL ice sports. Including a complete series of balance, control and agility skills taught in 6 levels of learning that pertain to hockey, ringette, speed skating, figure skating  or skating just for fun!
You can expect action, movement and fun! Lessons are given in a group format. All you need are skates, CSA-approved helmet, long pants, mittens and a warm sweater or jacket.
Instruction is provided by Professional Skate Canada Certified Coaches and is assisted by trained, volunteer Program Assistants.

Canskate will run from 6:00-6:45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning in November and ending in March.

rising star

The Rising Star Program is a program that links Canskate and StarSkate. It is intended for skaters who have completed CanSkate 3 and wish to advance into our StarSkate program. Skaters will receive additional ice time and small group coaching to ensure individual attention for preparation for StarSkate.
Figure skates are mandatory as well as a CSA-approved helmet.

Rising Star will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:45-5:45pm beginning the end of October (or as soon as we have ice in the arena) until March.

Skills, Tests, Achievement, Recognition – this is what STARSkate is all about!

STARSkate offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating.  This program teaches figure skating skills in a group and/or private lesson format in a progressive and sequential manner and includes specifically designed awards and incentives. Skaters have the opportunity to take Skate Canada Tests through a nationally standardized testing system.

The StarSkate program will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45-5:45pm beginning the end of October (or as soon as we have ice in the arena) until March.
