coach addie - rising star & canskate

Hi, my name is Addie and I’ve been passionate about figure skating for as long as I can remember. I’ve been skating for 12 years with Skate Martensville, where I’ve grown not only as an athlete but also as a person. Skating has been a huge part of my life, and over the years, it’s become like a second home to me. One of my favourite elements to perform is the flying sit spin—there’s just something about the speed and control it takes that makes it so rewarding. I’m also a reverse jumper, which definitely makes things a bit more unique out on the ice!

Outside of skating, I’m currently in Grade 12 at Bishop James Mahoney High School in Saskatoon. I’m apart of the Health and Sciences Academy there, which has given me the opportunity to explore my interests in healthcare and science in a hands-on and focused way. I’ve always been drawn to helping others, and that passion extends to animals too—I absolutely love animals and hope to be a veterinarian in the future.

I’m beyond excited to be stepping into a coaching role with Dalmeny for the upcoming skating season. It means so much to be able to give back to the sport that has given me so much, and I can’t wait to share my love for skating with younger skaters while continuing to learn and grow myself. I’m looking forward to an amazing season filled with new experiences, fun memories, and lots of time on the ice!

Coach Phoebe - Rising Star & canskate

Phoebe has been skating with Dalmeny Skating Club since 2005, when she was just 4 years old! She has been helping with CanSkate since 2014. She completed the CanSkate coaching course in 2024 and looks forward to continuing her coaching journey with Dalmeny Skating Club!

Phoebe is currently completing her MSc degree in Veterinary Biomedical Sciences, after earning her BSc in Animal Bioscience. She hopes to use these degrees to study and protect wildlife health. She also volunteers at Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation, where she helps to return injured and orphaned wildlife back to the wild.

She has always loved skating, especially jumps and different glides, but her absolute favourite thing about skating is getting to share this love and see new skaters improve and find their own joy in skating. She can't wait to see everyone out on the ice!

We are so excited to have Phoebe with us for another season of CanSkate and Rising Star!

Coach Ashley - Canskate

I am from Regina where I skated for most of my life. I joined Skate Regina in the CanSkate Program and skated with them up until moving to Martensville in February 2025. Now, I am still enrolled with Skate Martensville where I am continuing to work on the star program as a figure skater. I began my coaching career in Regina where I coached CanSkate for two years. I am currently a Certified CanSkate coach.

I currently attend Martensville High School where I obtain high honours. Away from the rink I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, going to our family cabin at Emma lake, playing games, and taking my dog Rosie on walks.

I am very excited to join the team here in Dalmeny and am looking forward to working with everyone to run a great season. I can’t wait to share my love for skating with everyone who comes through the program and to help all skaters be successful in reaching their goals!
